The possibility to unload near the hotel is quite important for groups who come to Budapest with a larger bus. In addition, parking nearby is important for bus drivers: it really matters how long it takes and how easy it is to get to the hotel to pick up the group.The following selection is meant to assist hotel selection for such groups.Bus parking is available at Felvonulási tér (Felvonulási Square) near Benczúr Hotel and Liget Hotel. This is quite close to the hotels and, depending on traffic, it should not take more than 5 minutes to get there. The distance is not more than 500-800 meters, but you have to weave your way through a bit to be able to stop in front of the hotels. You can easily park in front of Hotel Benczúr while loading and unloading.
Budapest Hotel, Flamenco Hotel, and Themal Hotel Helia all have space directly by the hotel. This allows painless loading/unloading and you do not have to obstruct traffic in the process. Of course, these hotels can accommodate several groups and the staff is well prepared. There is a parking fee, but it's not too high.
At Hotel Stadion, buses can park in the lot on the corner of Stefánia and Ifjúság streets. You must pay separately for this, but reception will be happy to help out. Stopping is allowed in front of Grand Hotel Hungária as well for quick loading and unloading, but they too recommend the same lot for parking.
Coming from Vienna, we recommend Budaörs' Hotel Holday Inn or Hotel Rubin (the latter is slightly closer to the Budapest). Both hotels have free bus parking lots. Hotel Lido in Óbuda (III. district) also has free bus parking.
City Hotel Mátyás is a good solution if you are looking for something near the Danube in downtown Budapest. Bus parking is right in front of the hotel. Again, you must pay separately, but due to its popularity and central location the price is higher than at the aforementioned hotels. At Parlament Hotel, buses usually park along the road by the Danube (rakpart) right by Lánchíd (Chain Bridge).
