A piece of Italy!
If I should briefly describe our restaurant the Trattoria Pomo d'oro I would say that it is a friendly, domestic restaurant where you can enjoy delicious meals and you can have fun. Of course it does not mean that the standard and the quality are played down. We would like to combine these two things and ease the strict etiquette rules so that everybody can have a good time.
Our chef Sergio and his team provide for the excellent meals, which include home made noodles, fresh fish as well as special meat dishes. With their involvement we managed to receive the plaque of patronage from the Italian Chef Association and reference from the Italian Academy of Gastronomy.
We also offer a wide range of wines (around 200 types) from Italy and Hungary. In addition to the acclaimed wines you can also try new, promising types as it is unimaginable in our restaurant to have your meal without wine.
If you would like to try a special Grappa, Pálinka or a traditional Italian liqueur turn in our restaurant because our bar always offers special drinks.
In the evening you can feel the spirit of the Italian 'trattorias' and streets, which makes you feel happy. That is why all of our guests leave smiling and bellyful. We would like to see that hospitality in Budapest becomes hospitality again and that people count dining as a pleasant and intimate event and not a time vesting activity. In Italy it has already come true. The spread table, the delicious meals and fine wines put people in touch with their loved ones and provide them charging to continue the life in the running world.
