ATTENTION: The hotel is open seasonally, from 21 March until 31 October! Hotel Margaréta is a popular and constantly developing holiday destination located in a favoured part of Balatonfüred, right next to the 71 motorway. The hotel has a nearly 1 hectare (2.5 acre) large garden, which provides our guests with closed, safe parking, and space for sports, games, and leisure. We always welcome guests, groups, or smaller events with our hotel's warm, family atmosphere. The hotel has 50 spacious double rooms with bathrooms (toilet + shower), with available extra bed, and one suite. Conferencing opportunities: Train your employees here by utilising one or more of our three conference rooms! The rooms are ideal for company events, conferences, training, orientations. They fit 2 x 30 and 1 x 20 people and additional services are available upon request. Active leisure: Our guests can use the tennis court next to the hotel free of charge. You can also take advantage of superb bicycle trails nearby for sport or for excursions. Hotel guests receive a discount from the on-site bicycle rental service, so they need not worry about transporting and storing their own. Additional services in the hotel: Rest casually on a bench in the hotel's park while your child enjoys the safe, EU-certified playground. Pass the time on location in our hotel's renewed Drink Bar! A wide variety of drinks, friendly prices, and no need to worry about a taxi! Sights to see, events, and excursions nearby: Balatonfüred's appeal stems from its beautiful location, its healing spring-water sources, the wide variety of succulent, quality wines from nearby hills, and its historical and cultural heritage. Already a popular town during the Reformation, it hosts a number of festivals and events throughout the year. Such is the world-famous Anna-bál (Anna-ball), the festive Borhetek (Wine Weeks), various sailing competitions, or the Reformkori Hétvégi (Reformation Weekend) during the autumn. While in the vicinity, Tihanyi Bencés Apátság (Tihany Benedictine Abbey) is a definite must-see, and it is easily accessible by boat. Tihany, honouring its traditions and cultural heritage, is also home to a variety of different festivals. Visit the nyári ünnepi játékok (summer festivity games) or the gardafesztivál (herring festival). The city is a great starting point for a number of excursions for a journey into nature. Enjoy routes that lead to: Lóczy-barlang (Lóczy cave), Koloska-völgy (Koloska valley), Koloska-forrás (Koloska spring), Tamás-hegy kilátó (Tamás hill observation tower). The Tihany peninsula features a number of natural treasures: Aranyház szikla (Aranyház cliff), remetelakások (hermitage), gejzírmezők (Geyser Fields). Other possible destinations and leisure activities: summer bobsled run and a closed, 50 metre pool in Balatonfűzfő, go-cart, plane flights, horseback riding, water skiing, water amusement park and wellness bath, Annagora Aquapark, movie theatre, squash, and wine-tasting in Balatonfüred. |
