The Hotel Makár which is also a sport and leisure complex is located in the green zone of the city, only a few minutes away from the historical center. The buildings are surrounded by a park, courts, palygrounds and parking. In the hotel we organize high quality events, conferencies, workshops, expositions, meetings.
Accomodation: We have 27 double rroms. To most of them we can add extra beds, so we have a capacity for about 100 guests. All the rooms have been furnished with good taste, they have bathroom, air conditioning, minibar, TV vía satellite, telephone, hairdryer. During the summer season we count an extra fee for the climatized rooms.
Catering: Makár Óbester Taverna and Restaurant. It received its name after Jochann Makár who lived here in the 1600s. The restaurant has different parts: taberna, events room, panoramic terrace, but the staff and the kitchen is the same. In the menu you will find mostly dishes from different regions of Hungary and international dishes. We offer the famous red wines of Villány and Brau Union beers.
Taverna: built in 1916, originally it was a winecella, it received its actual form in 1995, after many renovations. It has a capacity of 70 guests. On the rise level you can play darts and downstairs bowling.
Conference Room: made in postmodern style and furnished with good taste it has a wooden cupola and is air conditioned, has a bar and a capacity for 150 guests. It is especially perfect for weddings, parties, receptions and banquets. The rooms are interconnecetd and separables so they are ideal for meetings and conferencies. Technical support: TV, video, HiFi, DVD, flipchart, internet, screens.
Panoramic terrace: capacity for 100 persons, interconnected with the conference rooms, the garden and with the playground. In summer, when the weather is fine we organize grill parties and tennis matches with famous players.
Wellness, fittness: For those guests who prefer active vacations we offer bowling, squash, tennis, gym, wellness section (different types of saunas, vapour cabine, swimming pools, hidromassage, massages, soalrium) for the free use of our guests. In summer our guests can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and in winter the entry to the nearest swimming pool (350 meters from the hotel) is free.
